You have chosen Norwegian! So here essential resources that I have gathered together to help create your immersive environment in Norwegian. Enjoy!
Norwegian movies: Norwegians along with the Danes and Swedes will NOT dub international movies into their native language. Instead they will add subtitles and call it sufficient enough for them. However they do dub children’s shows. You can find a quite a few Norwegian movies online, it’s just knowing where to look for them.
Disclaimer: The following films I found were uploaded to YouTube and may be taken down at any given moment. Searching for “Norsk filmer” may help you find more films as well.
Norwegian TV and Radio:
Norwegian Music: There is a lot of popular music from Norway in English and a few listed below also sing in English but if you are going to learn Norwegian then you obviously need to find their Norwegian songs. For lyrics try this site: Let’s Sing It or just simply Google the song lyrics.
You can find some more recommendations here as well.
Klar Tale: This is the Norwegian equivalent of the Swedish 8SIDOR to which they make it easier to read the news in Norwegian as well as provide audio as that way you can listen it as well. Great for those who would like to read and understand the news without it being too complicated.
