Hey everyone! I’m so excited to announce that my first e-book is now finally available for sell. If you subscribed to email list last month you got this for free. Which is more reason to sign up for my list. I will not be doing this will all of my products. There will also be email exclusive content only available for subscribers. It is a 30 page e-book filled with prompts and techniques on how you can take your learning to the next level. I would be grateful to hear feedback of what you think of this e-book. I will be using it myself. Yes, you read that right! Because why use something that the creator hasn’t tried out themselves? Since I am working toward keeping my language learning authentic, it would only make sense that I would use it! That way, if there is something that needs to be revised or removed I will be able to do that. This e-book is NOT language specific which means that you can use it for any language(s) you would like. Whilst the suggestions and prompts are in English, the purpose of this journal is to fill it out in COMPLETELY in your target language(s). Unless, you are learning English as Foreign Language, then of course, you could use it to help you to continue making progress with your English.
Setting Up Shop Officially- Purchase Products and Services Directly From Me!
You may have also noticed the new SHOP section added to the menu of my website. What that means is that I am going to be selling more products and services directly through my website. This has been the goal of this website since I created it three years ago. In fact, I believe it was this month three years ago that this website was first created. I am ecstatic to present you with my very first product: Ultimate Language Learning Journal which you can purchase for $15.95 USD (Convert Currency). I will also be providing freebies which be available in a separate section. (That is not set up yet but will be soon.) I won’t just be selling e-books and e-zines there. I will be eventually offering courses, mentoring and much more in the near future. So it would be a good idea to check back later. I will be announcing on my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and to my email subscribers (who will be first to be receive the news) when I’ve created a new product or service that has been added to the shop. More information on specific services will be given when it is ready to be known.
I am still not quite satisfied with how many website looks at the moment. So there could be more design changes that will be made. Mostly colour changes than layout changes. Grey isn’t doing this website and to be frank makes it look a bit on the boring side. I know that the blue colours I preferred inspired many different web designers to contact me to “help make my website more appealing” or what have you. I decided to just do it myself. As mentioned in my December Updates and Intentions for 2016, I am more than capable of doing it myself. Especially, since I originally learned how to create websites in secondary school and relearned how to do it over 3 years ago. If I need help I will seek it out myself or specifically ask for it. Let me know what you think of these changes in either the comments below or through Social Media.
Being More Present In Learning Languages
One of the problems that has been hindering my language learning lately is being present with my language learning. Another reason why I am using the Ultimate Language Learning is so that I can be better at keeping up consistency. Especially in the way that I approach learning Japanese, German and Catalan. I also feel slightly absent in learning languages. I felt like I would learn new words or phrases but would never come back to review them. Not to mention the lack of practising with native speakers has also affected progress from occurring. So I am going to be more proactive with how I spend my time learning languages. And instead of just saying I am going to do it, I need to initiate forward movement by taking more action with learning Japanese, German and Catalan. Focus on the languages that are most important to me personally in this point in time. Then focus on learning other languages. Which is why you have only seen me learning three specific languages of the last three years. I want to be obtain higher levels in those languages before I fall in the trap of dabbling.
A language dabbler will never be fluent if their wanderlust is causing them to treat languages like fads.
Language learning requires time, patience and constant dedication to each language to reach eventual fluency. Whether fluency to you means being able to have meaningful conversations and be able to articulate yourself in your target language or just being able to establish communication. Even if your accent is not perfect or you still have a limited vocabulary. Keep motivated and moving toward your goals. If you need a break from learning languages. That’s perfectly okay. Sometimes you can’t help but to do just that: Go Ahead, Break Your Routine: Or, Why You Don’t Have to Finish that Textbook. However, you still need to be able to come back to learning your target language. Don’t beat yourself up for taking a break from your target language. Especially when it becomes to tedious (mentally) to do. I would feel so bad in the past for not having done at least 5+ hours in my target. That was too much for me and eventually I burned out. Now, it’s like I can’t find enough time to learn languages. How ironic is that? I did discover new interests that took up a lot of my time, but I know I couldn’t let them interfere with one of my main passions. So this year, I am making a more conscious effort to make time for learning languages, other passions and important tasks through effective time management.
What you do think? Are you using the Ultimate Language Learning Journal? How can you get back on the fast of language learning? What are your tips? I would love to hear from you!
