Week 3 of the italki language challenge is coming to an end and it’s time for me to share my progress for this week. I must say that due to a very busy schedule I wasn’t able to do as much as I’d like to but I’m still trying to schedule in as many sessions as possible for each week.
How Many Lessons Have You Completed So Far?
Overall I’ve completed 8 lessons so far which isn’t bad, seeing as I’m only 2 lessons behind from staying on track. So hopefully I will be able to squeeze in at least 3 lessons next week instead of 2 lessons, as I’ve done in previous weeks. I can definitely tell the difference my speaking skills in Japanese. I feel like I’m able to have a faster pace conversation while being able to explain things in Japanese.
Which is good considering that when I spoke Japanese in the past I tended to be quite slow when I spoke and it took me ages to come up with the word I was looking for. Now I feel that I have more confidence to say what I want when in Japanese but I still have a ways to go when it comes to more complicated subjects. I’m still reviewing my e-cards through the iLingQ app and learning new kanji with the 小学生手書き漢字ドリル and 中学生書き取り編. Which are both free from your smartphone’s app store.
I will need to have completed at least 12 more sessions in order to complete the challenge. Which means I will have to increase the number of sessions I take per week in order to get to reach the finish line. I am actually glad I made it this far. I thought for sure I wasn’t going to last long in this challenge but I’ve proved myself wrong and have increased motivation to continuing learning Japanese.
